Bible Curiosity Texts

I noticed that people respond differently to their different notifications. Text notifications seem to be the most anticipated. In order to make accessing the Bible more convenient and direct, I decided to offer a text service. The number is the only thing allowing me to reach you and is relatively inexpensive to do on a mass scale. 

After each verse I will send a few options that you can ignore or use, no judgement! It will look something like this:

“The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise.”

Proverbs 23:24 NLT

1-Previous Verse (I will send you the verse that came before the current scripture)

2-Next Verse (I will send you the next verse after the current verse)

3-Devotion Questions (I will send you 2-4 questions that allow you to go deeper into Bible study)

4-Prayer (I will ask what you would like to pray about and then send you a text with a short prayer on the subject)

5-Different Translation (I’ll ask you which one you’d like and resend the current verse in the new translation)

6-Other (I will answer any questions you may have)

If one of these replies is sent back, then I will respond. However if you just want to send your thoughts back, those I will not read. I would like help you to create a searchable, auto saving record of your Bible study for you to reflect and engage with whenever works best for you. I don’t want to involve myself where I’m not needed. Just know I’m here in the background if you need anything! The goal is for you to create a journal in your text thread so you can always have it with you. ACCESSIBILITY!

The world is in a weird place right now and this is me deciding to do something about it. It’s free because there should be no excuses. 

The goal is to develop a community of people who are trying to build and strengthen their relationship with God. I won’t and don’t keep any of your information. The only thing I need is your number. While the sign up sheet asks for more to make the messages more personal, the only required field is the number, not even the name! 

I’m pretty sure there isn’t one! There is the option to donate, as it would help me, but it’s not ever forced on you. I’m not going to spam you, just one text a day (unless you request more). I don’t know who to “sell your info” to, so no worries there. Just a blessed person trying to share the blessing! And if you aren’t sure, I’m human just like you so we can talk about it!

God willing, it will grow to a place where I can add prayer groups and smaller study groups and things like that to the line up, but I’m just starting small to make sure things go smoothly. My OCD is very strong and this is not something I want to abandon due to overwhelm. Pray for me! 

I will send the verse out in your preferred translation, otherwise it will be random. Unless you select a version in another language, it will always be English. 

If you site a version in Spanish, then you will always get Spanish verses, unless you say otherwise.
